This reminds me of the time we were in Melbourne in 2000. It was the first time I had the chance to speak to a native speaker of Italian. (I had studied it intensively in 1995.) An elderly woman approached us (my parents, Ben and me) clearly looking looking touristy at the bus stop and asked me which bus to take to the prison. I knew the answer, and I could understand her telling me her son got imprisoned and she wanted to visit him urgently, but I wasn't able to tell her which one. I regret to this day not saying only, "Number #," but trying to think of how to say, "I think you need to take Bus Number # and it will be here in x minutes."
Thanks for this picture, Fabrizio. Somehow I always think of the victims as huddled together at a railroad station, never is prison cells.
Non sapevo di questo museo, grazie Fabrizio a farci sapere e vedere questo foto. Buona domenica!
