Flash Flood

Mala Tempora Currunt… Pollution and lack of love for this earth are changing climate. This is a fact. So even in Europe we are having Flash Flood events. Last 25th of October in Monterosso, Vernazza and many other little town in 5 Terre, fell 12.5 inches of rain in 6 hours: almost 1/3 of rain of 1 year. In Genova last Friday (4th of Nov), fell 11.6 inches of rain in 12 hours… In Torino fell 4 inches of rain in three days but -as you can see by the photo- the river PO flooded at Murazzi because other minor rivers flow in it.

Mala Tempora Currunt…

The Italian floods made the news here. They looked dreadful.
Although the water didn't rise as much in Turin, this is a very effective shot with the lamposts standing in water. Sometimes it's the little things that make most visual impact.

I watch our TV news with great sadness when they show Italian streets streaming with water. What a shame. Terrible.

Ciao. A.x.

Yes Linda, you're right. Sometime details say a lot...

Yes Dina, in Liguria (Genova, Monterosso and Vernazza) was absolutely terrifying

Tutto vero Antonella.
