Ooh, it's already on display? Wow. You must be getting millions of tourists this year.

I would love to see this in person. I've attended lectures about it.

Espléndido, Fabrizio. Aunque la Sindone no se aprecia bien a distancia, sino en los detalles captados por las cámaras, y en los negativos.

Felicidades a Torino!

I'm surprised they let you take a picture of it!

Wow, how did you manage to get in today so quickly? I was expecting an unbelievable queue....Ciao. A.

The shroud does not look as I had imagined it. But now I have seen it, through your camera. Thank you!

Good that it is well-guarded.

[saturday night] First of all thank you so much about your comments and to visit TDP. I have to say that:
- it's not possible to take photos inside the Cathedral
- people started to be admitted just tonight at 6 p.m.
So I could get many photos so quickly, with my camera (with flash and not) and without any queue just because I've got a Press Pass. I asked for it in January and they (thank you, thank you) admitted me. ---

@Hilda, you're right. At 1 p.m. of today there were 1,473,561 booked persons to visit it until 23rd of May. It's reasonable to estimate that 2millions of people will come here.

@Virginia, considered the next exhibition will be approx around 2025, this one could be a good reason to come to see ite (and to taste chocolate and prosecco and so on...)

@Joaquìn, thank you very much. You are right. Next days I will turn and show the negative image. [google translation: Muchas gracias Joaquín. Usted tiene razón. día siguiente me voy a referir y mostrar la imagen negativa.]

@Saretta, I said above about permission to take pictures. Anyway I'm quite sure that some photo by tourists are tollerate too. The Shroud is under a special glass 7cm thick.

@Antonella, I said above reasons because I could get it so quickly. However I must also say that when you book your visit, there are slot of time around 1 hour and they accept no more than a certain number of persons. So, in few words, since when you get your tickets, the whole path to the Cathedral and the 3/5 minutes in front of the Holy Shroud, you have to consider 40 minutes / 1 hour.

@Dina, I will post some other photo of the shroud next day trying to put in evidence what we can see in it. I will also turn it in vertical and put in negative.

Very interesting information about the visit to the Shroud Fabrizio. Great that you got in as press too (but you do such a good job promoting the city of Turin it is well deserved).
The photo is perfect for those who can't visit, and at least now I know what to expect. I like the guard's costume.
I had no idea that so many people were coming to visit our city. It is a good reason, but there are so many others too! Nobody will ever be disappointed after visiting Turin.
Buona domenica.

Very impressive!

Now, I can get a glimpse of a culture so far away! Thanks to technology! :)

L'anno scorso ho visitato la cattedrale, ma la Sindone non è stata esposta. :(

Lei è molto fortunato di avere permesso di fare questa rara foto.

Thank you Rakesh !

Grazie Maju. La Sacra Sindone, viene esposta, circa ogni 15 - 20 anni.

It looks very different to what I expected. I have a friend who is in Torino at the moment to see it, he said on twitter it was an amazing experience.
