Very striking arch, especially against the beautiful blue sky.
Out of curiosity, what is located in the Olympic Village now, apartments, shops?Denise
For a moment I thought that you had come to visit our city. This is a catenary arch, the same shape as the monument on the Mississippi River. Interesting engineering and design. Tilting the horizon gives the picture more energy.
Hilda,... and the moon ! Take in fact a look on the left of the photo ;-)Denise, the municipality decided to use most of apartments as council houses and some (minority) is still reserved to mucipality.Bob Crowe, Yess I know the Arch of St. Louis and this one look like absolutely the same, you're rigt.
A nice looking bridge ... nice to see there are lingering benefits from hosting the winter olympics!
Thank you for showing wonderful scenery. From the Far East. Best regards. ruma
