Passerella Olimpica

Olympic Pedestrian bridge sustained by an arch that hold it and gives the impression that the gangway is suspended. It links Olympic Village to Lingotto business centre and it is a symbol for Torino, hosted city of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. Further details HERE

The Olympic Pedestrian Bridge

The Olympic Pedestrian Bridge that links Olympic village to Lingotto exhibition centre and Oval. It's held up by the Olympic red Arch designed by Hugh Dutton. Another symbol to last Winter Olympic Games and it's red because Passion Lives Here :-)

La passerella Olimpica che collega il villaggio Olimpico al Lingotto esposizioni e all'Oval. E' sostenuta dall'Arco Olimpico progettato da Hugh Dutton. Un altro simbolo degli scorsi Giochi Olimpici Invernali ed è rosso perché Passion Lives Here :-)

The marvellous red Arch holds on the Olympic Pedestrian bridge that link Lingotto to Olympic Village

Goodmorning Tibet

Just today I stopped by the Olympic Pedestrian Bridge because I saw these Tibet Demonstrators under pouring rain. From Torino Olympic Motto: Passion Lives Here (see yesterday) they changed it in Repression Lives Here over 5 bloodstained olympics rings...

Giusto oggi mi son fermato presso la passerella Olimpica perché ho visto questi dimostranti a favore del Tibet sotto una pioggia a dirotto. Il motto Olimpico di Torino "La Passione vive qui" (cfr. ieri) è stato cambiato in "La repressione vive qui" sopra i cinque cerchi intrisi di sangue...

Lingotto the skyline

This the skyline of Lingotto seen by the Olympic Pedestrian Bridge (see next days) that link the Olympic Village to Lingotto. As you can see (maybe enlarging it), on the top La Bolla and on the left the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli (in foreground: a part the man in bicycle the two Segway. I love it !).

Questo è lo skyline del Lingotto visto dalla Passerella Olimpica (cfr. prossimi giorni) che collega il Villaggio Olimpico al Lingotto. Come potete vedere (magari ingrandendo l'immagine), sulla sommità La Bolla e alla sinistra la Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli (in primo piano a parte l'uomo in bici i due Segway. Lo adoro !).
