Eataly - Truffles

Today I had dinner at Eataly (do you remember the excellence of the food?) and I noticed they were selling Truffles too. Is there anyone that doesn't know truffles? In case, please, consider to visit Wikipedia HERE. Truffles not coming from Alba, are quite popular and a bit less expensive. But "the original" as you can see now cost, € 550 each 100grams (100grams = 3.5 Ounce)...

I do love truffle. I had a pizza with truffle oil the other day - was surprising good. I have this little bottle of truffle oil that I use in rizotto, pasta - just a few drops brings a very simple meal to the next level.
I do loooove the chocolate ones too - but that's an entire other post, right? ;)

Those truffles can be found in West Virginia where my mother was born. I have not tasted them.

I have never tried Truffles (except the chocolate ones), but have heard the praise of their flavor. Perhaps one day . . .

@• Eliane •, p-p-pizza with truffles?!?!? oh God. And did you like it? It's funny (and sad) to see how pizza there is with everything: chicken, pepperoni, beef, steak, lettuce, hot dog... Pizza, the real one, is with fresh tomato, mozzarella, basil, virgin oil and nothing more. --- Yes you're in right chocolate deserve a special post :-))

@Nikon, none of course !!!!! It was too expensive just only to take a look :-)

@Maria Elisa, you're in right but unfortunately they are so rare and those prices are currently :-(

@Abraham, are them so expensive as here?

@Jules, I can sure that to smell them (usual for free) it's lovely and enough :-)

@jilly, eh... I know I know so well what you mean. Yes, better to stop here :-)
