Definitions of International Standard (<-- pdf file in Italian) about Pizza alla Napoletana o Margherita says:
- 30g of tomato (S.Marzano is the best quality)
- 7g of olive extra vergin oil - 50g of Mozzarella di Bufala
- just a bit of basil
- salt
Much long description requires dough and i'll describe in future. Pizza must be cooked in a wooden owen (oak or olive wood) at 450 / 485 Celsius degree and it's cooked for few minutes when you look it cooked.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm LOVE this kind of pizza....and it would go so WELL with my beer! ;) Great shot down below this one too!
I wish we have this here in the U.S! It looks so good. Nice photo!
...its so Italian like:)
Lovely. I do like other adaptations of pizza too, but the classic margherita takes some beating!
So simple and yet so good!
Love the look of that crust...just burnt enough ;-)
Pizza, the perfect food. This looks wonderfully delicious, but the delivery charge (to Michigan) would probably be a bit much.
Now, that looks like a REAL pizza! We have a pizzeria in our neighborhood with a wooden oven that seems pretty authentic. Beer and wine are Italian also.
It look's so delicious.
We hope one day we'll eat really, orginal Italian pizza.
In Krakow there is an italian pizza (don't know who is the owner, but they called themselfs italian), but the truth is they serve the best pizza I've even eaten. Right now the best in Poland. ;))
It is hard to find a really great pizza here. Sometimes, depending on who is working that day, you can get a great pizza. THe bad ones cost just as much as the good ones.
Baby raccoons. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Simply mouthwatering...I would love to have that, When are you going to send it?
A very nice shot & nice to know about the recipe also!
For me the simple pizzas are the best, especially if you have good tomatoes and mozzarella. This one looks perfect. Very difficult to make at home in my experience (unless you have your own pizza oven)
Yummy, baked just right. I could do with some more toppings though.
One of my faves.
Speaking of diet:) I guess you are right, forget the diet...I can't resist on this pizza, but seems basil is missing...
and paste with pizza pie
the receipt of the paste is wanted
for once that Italian gives his secrecies
There is an expensive Italian restaurant here in Rhode Island that makes excellent pizza.
Generally you're lucky if it's just good at the usual shops.
This is my favorite kind of pizza -- simple ingredients and thin crust.
Fabrizio, I love tattorie too. Simple bolognese sauce with pasta, tri-color salad, and San Pellogrino water.
Oh my, that pizza looks heavenly. More food photos please!
;-)
It's only 9:30am here, but this looks tasty!!
