Yesterday around at 5pm sky so cloudy and heavy of rain became totally dark. It look like an hurricane. Fortunately didn't rain as much as it was dark :-)

"House or Castle" part 2.

Answering to Kate question the decorative work over the main door of the house I published yesterday, is done by tiles. For sure I need an extra-blog to publish more photo and I'm sorry to publish another photo of same house but, honestly, enlarging the original of the photo, me as first I am impressed of beauty of this mosaic. So, I thought to share it...

House or Castle?

It's honestly hard to reply to this question. This is another beautiful house I saw days ago.

...Pizza...

Definitions of International Standard (<-- pdf file in Italian) about Pizza alla Napoletana o Margherita says:
- 30g of tomato (S.Marzano is the best quality)
- 7g of olive extra vergin oil - 50g of Mozzarella di Bufala
- just a bit of basil
- salt
Much long description requires dough and i'll describe in future. Pizza must be cooked in a wooden owen (oak or olive wood) at 450 / 485 Celsius degree and it's cooked for few minutes when you look it cooked.

Perspective

This house was built on the top of a sharp corner. I ever loved perspective you see stopping and watching in front of vertex corner. --- Nice week-end to everyone !

Chiesa di San Lorenzo

Two Pieces of History...

Those two windows enlighted on the background are part of Egyptian Museum (<-- In English). This one in Torino is the second Egyptian Museum in the world (the first is at Cairo - Egypt). Then in foreground there are tables of Pepino ice cream since 1884. Two pieces of history...

Via Roma & Piazza S.Carlo

Well this is a short "piece" of via Roma (one of the most elegant street of Torino) and it's possible to see on background the Santa Cristina church in Piazza San Carlo.

Ebbene questo è un piccolo tratto di via Roma (una delle più eleganti vie di Torino) ed è possibile vedere sullo sfondo la Chiesa di Santa Cristina in Piazza San Carlo.

Mole Antonelliana 3

When I'm there around, I cannot not to take it. So I showed the symbol of Torino: the Mole Antonelliana many times. In particular: HERE and HERE and HERE and I'm afraid I'll do it again... Sorry :-)

Quando passo di là, non riesco non fotografarla. Sicché ho mostrato il simbolo di Torino: la Mole Antonelliana molte volte. In particolare: QUI e QUI e QUI e temo lo rifarò ancora... Mi spiace :-)

Villas

In Torino there's an area quite wide where cars aren't admitted (except residents) and where houses look like this one... They're a sort of mini castle and, definitely, really glamorous.

A Torino c'è una zona piuttosto vasta dove le auto non vengono ammesse ad eccezione delle auto dei residenti e dove le case sono all'incirca come quella qui raffigurata... Esse sono una sorta di mini-castelli e, in definitiva, davvero affascinanti.

At the Traffic Light

Last week I was waiting the green at the traffic light of corso Re Umberto (crossing corso Peschiera) when I saw this house on my left. I will take better those decorations just under the roof but at the moment it's funny to consider that I pass there everyday in centuries but only now I noticed it. Thanks to DP.

La scorsa settimana in attesa del verde al semaforo di corso Re Umberto all'incrocio con corso Peschiera vidi alla mia sinistra questa casa. Fotograferò meglio l'ornamento del sottotetto ma è curioso osservare com'io passi lì da secoli e solo ora mi sia accorto d'essa. Grazie a Daily Photo.

Home SWEET Home

Well it's Sunday (and it seems will continue to rain). Nothing better than to stay at home: to watch an old movie and taste a marvellous glass of Guido Gobino Chocolate [<-- In English too] -- In Torino chocolate was known since 1678 when production was been authorized by Royal Law. At the end of 1700 artigianal producer granted 350Kg of daily produtction and they started to export it in France, Germany, Austria and Suisse. Next time I'll go to talk about Gianduiotti: another chapter that concern Torino and Chocolate -- Nice week-end to everybody.

Ebbene è Domenica (e pare voglia continuare a piovere). Niente meglio che stare a casa: guardare un vecchio film e gustare un buon bicchiere del Cioccolato di Guido Gobino -- A Torino il cioccolato era conosciuto sin dal 1678 quando un Regio Decreto ne autorizzò la produzione. Alla fine del 1700 ne veniva prodotto, dalle molte cioccolaterie, ben 350 Kg al giono e iniziò la sua esportazione in Francia, Germania, Austria e Svizzera. La prossima volta parlerò dei Gianduiotti: un altro capitolo che concerne il binomio Torino e il cioccolato -- Buon fine settimana a tutti.
