Valentino

This is the first of some photo I'll go to dedicate to Valentino one of most wide park in Torino. 550thousand square meter, designed by Jean-Pierre Barillet Deschamps (a French landscapist) around 1861 when Torino was Capital of Italy. This photo has been taken from Valentino Park in front of the river Po (the most long of Italy). At the other side the hillside that run all along the river.

Corso Re Umberto 1

That the house. As you can see there's this sort of tower in the corner that links the two houses (the second in the small street). I asked at concierge and the lady told me that lift is in since 1912. So, in other words, it was built at the beginning of last century.

I was in hurry so I stop the car, get off quickly and quickly I've got a photo of this strange but beautiful, old building. More detail of it tomorrow ;-)

Maggiori dettagli domani ;-)

Out of Window

It's an ordinary photo I know but... It is. I took it today out of my window at noon. What I like to notice is that even from a window in a peripheral street it's possible to see... Spring :-)

A Casa.

I Corsi - Corso Vinzaglio

What's "Corso"? Eric in Paris should call it "Boulevard" or Ming the Merciless in New York should call it "Avenue" ... Ok in Italy we call these kind of main roads "Corso". In Torino there are lot of them and they cross the city in length and in width. This one is called Corso Vinzaglio.

Che cos'è il "Corso"? Eric a Parigi lo chiamerebbe "Boulevard" o Ming the Merciless in New York lo chiamerebbe "Avenue"...

Piazza Vittorio Veneto

Piazza Vittorio Veneto (here just a detail) that being long 360 meters and large 111 meters is one of the most wide place in Europe. Of course I'll take more shot of it in future. That Church we see in background is Gran Madre di Dio (see its photo HERE).

Cielo Primavera

Spring Sky. I didn't want to take this place (by the way called XVIII Dicembre) for something special except that the sunset colour of the sky. The yellow "bunch" has a welcome to Torino, running writing :-)

Cielo Primavera.

Mole Antonelliana

Another perspective from where to admire Mole Antonelliana the major landmark of Torino. At the link you can find all details about it. In these day it's crowded by tourists that other than to visit Museum of Cinema, go at the top by panoramic lift (in English) for having a wonderful skyline of the city.

Holy Week

At the end of the Holy Week, few hours ago I took (with infrared) this religious procession from my window. Then I turned it in red... As Passion.

Street Market

I adore street markets. In Italy, in wide cities there is one of them in each neighbourhood. They come daily to sell fresh vegetables and fruit but also cheese and prosciutto or salami. There's an area too where they sell dresses and everything is marketable. In towns, they go once per week.

Adoro i mercati rionali. Nelle grandi città in Italia ve n'è uno in ogni quartiere.
