...On the moon !

""That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."" This is what Neil Armstrong said on 20th of July 1969 once on the moon and this is the same moon I took from my balcony time ago.

""Un piccolo passo per l'uomo, un gigantesco salto per il genere umano"" Questo è ciò che disse Neil Armstrong il 20 Luglio 1969 sulla luna e questa è la stessa luna che ho fotografato tempo fa dal mio balcone.

Fabrizio! You're right about the Moon and Neil Armstrong! I don't remember the event as I was still in diapers back then but it was important! Grazie mille!

Funniest thing...I have a similar image on my blog today! I remember it distinctly, sitting on the couch in my neighbor's living room watching it with rapt attention with all the other people crowded around the television.

I remember that day...my mom told me to go wake up my uncle who put his pillow over his head and said, it's all a set-up in a TV studio!

Nice Moon shot. I have one but it is more of a brownish color.

Now, you and your friends can help me Make History. I am trying to see if it is possible to get 10,000 visitors in a short period of time on my new blog, Pick a Peck of Pixels. If you go there, please either become a ollower or leave a comment. Your visit will count and help me Make History. Pick a Peck of Pixels

Yes, I can't believe I'm 51 and not 11 watching it on TV....still have my scrapbook I made at the time.

All the best from me at Sydney Daily Photo. I’m so busy with a new job I hardly have time to post, much less comment these days!

The moon can at times remind me of an embryo, reminding me that something new is always on its way from who knows where. And when your photo is enlarged, this is one of those times.

Amazing to think it's 40 years. An incredible feat and great that you remembered it for us, Fabrizio.
