The restored Teatro Carignano opened last 3rd of February after 18 months of work and 14millions Euro. Originally built at the end of 1600 and owned by Princes of Carignano ("cadet" branch of Savoia), this small theatre (800 places) has been ever considered a jewel. This is something I sometimes miss about Europe... Singapore has a very energetic and vibrant atmosphere, which I like very much, but in Europe, especially Italy has historical and architectural richness.

Before reading your description I thought, "That looks like a jewel box."
It reminds me of the toy theatre in Bergman's 'Fanny and Alexander', one of my all time favourite films.
