Not an hurricane but something that looked like it. This is a lightning I took last night, then, after a while... The storm arrived with lot of rain and wind.

That is a lucky catch. You were at the right time and place. Lovely lighting and interesting lightning! I had a large tree struck by lightning right by my bedroom last March. The loudest sound I have ever heard and much damage. Lightning can look very beautiful, as in your photograph, but also very frightening and dangerous. That being said, your photograph is grand.
Great mood and lighting!
Wow! No wonder our ancestors believed the gods lived in the heavens. Lightning blots started many fires in dry California last month. We still have fire and smoke.
It was really neat enlarging this photo so that I could see greater details. I am imagining you were on the upper floor of another building so that you could get this photo. You've captured the bolt of lightening perfectly!
Did you have your camera set on tripod and take lots of shots, or just get lucky to catch it at that moment.
This brings to ind one of my very favourite Italian words - parafulmine - I just love the sound of it!
Fantastic! Bravo!
Bellissimaaaaa!!!!
Che zona è Fabrzio?
Wow, that was great timing!!
Beautiful.
What a brilliant photo, Fabrizio. I know I keep saying that but it is simply true, true, true! I love to watch thunder storms, from a safe distance of course.
One of my cats is very frightened of storms though and always hides under our bed or in a cupboard. Poor little boy. The girl cats are quite relaxed about them though.
"a lot of rain and wind" non rende abbastanza l'idea... ;)
a truly excellent capture.
@Virginia, I agree. It may be fashinating to see a storm from a secure place but lightnings are definitely dangerous and frightening
@Uselaine, ancestors? Oh I know a man that right now he's still persuaded that his god (he doesn't mind about other) really lives in the heavens. The most funny thing is that when he talks, thousands of people go to listen him. Poor us. They told me he's actually in Australia... (LoL).
@Lily, Yes I was on the balcony of my apartment at seventh floor. Thank you very much !
@Sally, No I didn't use the tripod. I took it holding the camera by hands supported by the balcony. The photo has been taken at 12mm with a 12-24 Nikkor; f/4 + 1/10sec. The photo was higly underexposed and I was quite lucky state I've got it three times in 15 photos.
@Snapper, thank you very much !!!
@Massim., Mirafiori
@Paul, thank you very much !!!
@MmBenaut, it's strange: my kitty (Mao) stuck there to see rain, lightnings, thunders and so on, I have to push him into home ;-)
@Simo, no eh?
@Gerald, thank you very much !!
A truly great capture.
Bello squarcio.
Woah!!! Tons of kudos for this one! I know how patient you must have been to catch this. There was a rainstorm the other day and I kept on missing the lightning by a second. Over and over again.
Wow. What a fantastic capture!
Totally inspiring! The power of nature. Beautiful, thank you
Incredibile. Ciao, Luca
