Skip over

Uhm... A part maybe first day of selling, actually people seem to skip over the last Harry Potter. How about in your country?

Uhm... A parte, forse, il primo giorno di vendita, la gente sembra passar oltre l'ultimo Harry Potter. Com'è la situazione nel vostro Paese?

Yeah, we're going shopping!! :) Er... I wouldn't have a clue: I am really not a fan of HP. Never felt the need to read it or see the films. Never appealed to me. Don't shoot me ;)

I have read the Chronicals of Narnia. I started trying to read the Harry Potter series but found them very, very similar and so decided to read something more........ original instead.

However anything that encourages people to read books is a good thing. I think probably now people are just waiting for the next Potter film.

..non cedere a difficili speranze, difficilmente queste orge mediatiche sbagliano il colpo.

I haven't followed Harry Potter although there seems to be a large fan base.

Karola is a huge fan of HP. She's read it few times and she hasn't stop. I just like it a bit.
Anyway we still waiting for new part of HP.

To answer your question, yes The Plaza is on the left of the photo.

As for the Harry Potter books, I won't know since I don't read it and I don't have kids who do.

@Eliane, me too. I have also to admit that the "fantasy" genre doesn't match with my preference

@Clarice, out of doubt you are in right: everything encourages people to read is welcome but I also would like that authors and editors would increase quality

@Nazzareno e @Matilde, sono d'accordo ma non sul giudicarti troppo vecchia (Matilde)

@karola&pamp, I understand Karola (then she's so yung !!!)

Absolutely you are right. I have read several book recently and when I had finished them I felt that I had wasted my life. I am not getting any younger :-)

Oversaturation? I am saying that because simultaneously with appearing in our bookstores, it was available at our local library!
And here, I am joining the rest of your visitors who are not "wild about Harry" ;-)

I've never read one - but I think all have been best-sellers.

Interesting cover design. A lot different to the UK version.

I've read 3 of the HP books, primarily because my 13-yr-old grandson reads all of them. Many of my adult friends are just as crazy about the books as the adolescents are. The books are a huge financial success, and the release of each book was met with great fanfare: stores open at midnight with people lined up to get copies, books ordered months in advance, parties at the bookstores with people dressed as HP characters, ... huge fiestas in many, many cities. I got a bit bored after 3 copies, but since it's not my favorite literary genre, I wasn't surprised. Only wish my name was listed as the author!!

I haven't read any of the HP books, but I kind of know what's going on secondhand... the composition here immediately drew my eye to the word "morte" which is rather clever

it does not seem to be in the news anymore. not a fan of HP either...
