Museo dell'Automobile

The Torino Automobile Museum is one of the largest in the world and the only one in Italy so wide with a collection of 170 cars. Unfortunately it will close next 10th of Aprile 2007 because they go to rearrange internal spaces.

I looked up the Torino Automobile Museum, had to know what automobiles they have. Of the 79 automobile makers listed in their collection, I've only heard of 24. Maybe the translation has altered some from the English name, maybe I need to get out more? Regardless, I would love to visit this museum. I've been to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan several times. They have over 200 cars and trucks, but I don't believe that have quite as much foreign flair.

I also like the building, the curve front is organic, implies movement, good for an automobile museum.

complimenti per questo sito, per l'idea di postare una foto al giorno, e per l'impegno e la costanza incredibile che ciò comporta...
e complimenti per farci conoscere ogni giorno una città diversa!

Thank you Jules and Dag of your comments -- Jules, me too (even if I love cars) I don't know several of those brands. Maybe some of them built only one model.

For anyone who loves cars, Italy is the Mecca of automobile design (even if they are sometimes infuriating to drive, like my experience of Alfa Romeo driving positions!). This is a powerful shot with the sweep of the frontage almost suggesting speed and movement. I guess it's quite a reflective surface - very effective.
