November Theme Day: Doorway

It's not an entrance into a building but it's the entrance into a city: Torino. The Romans doorway called Palatine Towers was built in the first century b.c. (between 1 b.c. and 99 b.c.) --- Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

  3. It is not just a great choice for theme day, but it is a great photo as well. The line of lights through the left archway adds perspective and depth. The lighting is magical.

  4. Probably the oldest "doorway" for theme day! Love the repeating shapes in this monumental doorway by night! Bravo!

Those Romans really knew how to build to last.

  9. L'ultima volta che sono stato a Torino erano ancora "recintate". Non le ho mai viste dal vero con la nuova sistemazione, ma dalle immagini mi sembra davvero che risalti ancora di più la loro maestosità. By the way... foto bellissima!
