Arco del Valentino

Some time ago I posted the night, back view of this Arch (cfr. HERE) and now I took a detail of the front. It is at entrance of Valentino's Park (see background). This is the Monument to Artillery Force by Pietro Canonica (1930)

Parecchio tempo fa pubblicai una foto notturna e posteriore dell'Arco del Valentino (cfr. QUI) e ora ecco il dettaglio della parte anteriore. E' posto all'ingresso del Parco del Valentino (cfr. sfondo). Questo รจ il Monumento all'Arma di Artiglieria di Pietro Canonica (1930)

  1. Oh I'm the first to be able rave over this lovely photo. So beautifully composed as always Fabrizio. I want to keep walking right through that arch!

  2. Is this to do with the siege of Turin, Fabrizio? I'm afraid my Italian history is rather hazy.

  3. Thank you Virginia and, for sure, I hope you will be able not far to pass through it !

Linda, no, I'm sorry but this is simply a monument to Artillery force. Then it's quite "new". It has been built in fact in 1930
