G@tto, sono al secondo piano di Palazzo Madama dai vetri dell'unica finestra in genere senza tenda protettiva davanti a cui però è seduta una delle assistenti al museo. La signorina presente quando l'ho visitato io, molto molto gentilmente, si è alzata lasciandomi lo spazio per fotografare-
quite peculiar and unique perspective you are showing here, indeed... Hardly imaginable or detectable at street level when crossing the two pictured streets under the arcades.
Being a "history-nut", you know how much I like your city for the key role it played in our country recent (from an historical stand-point, so in the past two centuries ;-)) history!
You should "spare a dime" on this with your fellow bloggers more often, explaining better what's behind the buildings and the sights that you are showing! ;-)
However, is the building in the lower left corner of the picture the Teatro Regio (Royal Theatre), one of the Italian Opera Temples? I suppose it is...
Thanks again for the images you are publishing, testifying every day how wonderful Italy can be, also far and out of the usual and most widely known touristic paths!
Thank you very much Cesare ! Yes, that one on the left it is the Royal Opera Theatre. I am happy you appreciate my job and you are right when you invite me to better describe explaining details about buildings. Honestly I prefer to write quite short captions (maybe with some link to Wikipedia or so) because I am the first who don't read long and detailed descriptions. :-)

Wow, that is really astounding. And I agree with an earlier comment (Altadena Hiker), your mountains look a lot like the Santa Monica Mountains here in Los Angeles.
Torino was the first Capital of Italy, the city that hosted XX Olympic and IX Paralympic Winter Games and Torino Daily Photo is the first photo blog of the city --- I am sorry but due the spam comments, anonymous users are not allowed...
I love your different perspectives! Your city is so wonderful. I long to visit!
ReplyDeletethe buildings look like soldiers standing guard for the hills. And oddly, the hills look very much like ours in Altadena.
