This is the Cathedral of Torino dedicated to San Giovanni Battista the patron Saint of the city. Built the first time at beginning of 600 a.c. it was rebuilt between 1491-1498. Actually it hosts the "Holy Shroud". Next public exhibiton of the Shroud will be in 2010.
Questo è il Duomo di Torino dedicato a San Giovanni Battista Paatrono della città. Costruito agli inizi dell'anno 600 d.c. venne ricostruito tra il 1491 e il 1498. Attualmente ospita la "Sacra Sindone". La prossima ostensione della Sindone avverrà nel 2010.

ReplyDeleteI imagine the city becomes packed with visitors from around the globe when the Shroud is exhibited publicly. I will look forward to seeing photos you take when that time comes, which in terms of how aged your city is, will seem like no time at all.
