Tony at Street Market
Would you like to taste wonderful Parmigiano Reggiano? Grana Padano? (do you know difference between them? Click HERE) - Prosciutto cotto (cooked ham)? Prosciutto crudo (raw ham)? Speck (smoked ham)? Mortadella (bolognese sausage)? Breasola (cured raw beef)? Fontina from Valle d'Aosta? Pecorino from Sardinia? Anything else "very" forbidden from your doc but sssooo tasteful? Come to Torino street market in via Pavese where Tony will be happy to let you taste them.
Desiderate assaggiare il meraviglioso Parmigiano Reggiano? Grana Padano? (Sapete la differenza tra i due? Cliccate QUI) - Prosciutto cotto? Crudo? Speck? Mortadella? Bresaola? Fontina della Val d'Aosta? Pecorino Sardo? Qualsiasi altra cosa "molto" vietato dal vostro medico ma così terribilmente buono? Venite a Torino al mercato rionale di via Pavese dove Tony sarà lieto di farveli assaggiare.
Fabrizio,
ReplyDeleteIn the U.S. we have the Food Network. Now we know about a lot of these wonderful things. The cheese and Proscuitto, I am very familiar with. Giada De Laurentiis has taught us well. What a lovely display, on the street?
Oooh, yes, I'd like to try some of each!
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds delicious. I think a glass of wine would make it all healthy, so don't worry too much. 8^)
ReplyDeleteGreat street shot, Fabrizio! Life is short, eat up!
ReplyDeleteMmmm! Delicious! I like the italian prosciutto and the cheeses!
ReplyDeleteYou asked me if October was good for swimming, and I have to say yes, it usually is still warm weather but our kids would have started school by then and we'll be too busy to go during the week.
Ohhh, you got me hungry! It all sounds so yummy! And I love Tony's red cart!
a presto.
Luca
Hi Fabrizio, I'm back after 3 weeks in Japan. Even ate Italian food over there. There is a wonderfully new Illy bar in Tokyo. Japan is fantastic so if anyone ever gets the chance to go, take it. The culture is SO different from that of Italy.
ReplyDeleteI believe I visited this market with Don, Fabrizio. And you know, that same stall - I see them in Ventimiglia. Ah Italia...
ReplyDeleteOh capperi! Non riesco ad inquadrare dove rimane via Pavese... :-/
ReplyDeletewhich prosciutto does one have with melon as an appetizer? thanks
ReplyDeleteHey ma sei andato in vacanza dal blog? qui siamo fermi al 26 agosto...
