Theme day: bridges

Yes, plural: bridgeS. In fact they are two. LoL. Well About theme's day as 1st of December 2007, I choose Ponte Isabella (in homage to Isabella of Naples), that I consider one of most beautiful bridge in Torino on river Po. Of course I took it at night :-) but if you want to see how it looks like by day click HERE. -- Happy weekend to everyone !

  1. Fabrizio - sorry for not stopping by for so long. Too much work. This is a gorgeous picture. My reaction is that it feels quiet and elegant. It's almost abstract but if we think a moment, we know it's a a bridge (or two). The night shot is much more dramatic than it would have been in daylight.

The STL CDPB theme day post has a quiz and a contest. Do stop by and enter. It should be uploaded by 04.00 GMT tonight.

  3. Fabrizio, What a wonderful photo for theme day. A spectacular night shot and I enjoyed seeing again the bridge in daylight on the link you provided. And, of course, I am so envious that dear Isabella has an Italian bridge named in her honour!!

BTW. ..I mispelled the name of my grandparents' village. . . .It is Pettorano sul Gizio, not Petrano. It's near L'Aquila.

  10. like the lady herself I thought the photo was of jewelry at first glance but then it is a jewel of bridge. Hyde DP is carrying permalinks to the bridge posts and will be updated at intervals until Dec 2nd.
