Tagliata della Granda

Time ago I talked (here) the first time about Granda's meat and how this name was born. By the way Granda is overall an Association of farmers in Piedmont born with the purpose to defend (and to promote) quality. So they are very careful on what veals go to eat and how they grow. Who has chance to come in Torino may taste it by Eataly (where I took the photo). Anyway from the site of Granda's Association (unfortunately not in English) you'll find those butchers that sell it. Buon Appetito !!!

Buon Appetito !!!

Fiat 500

Stolen for DP Community these are the really firsts photos of Fiat 500 taken at the backstage of the great show that introduced tonight new Fiat 500 to the world. The Olympic show (same organization and direction) on river Po amazed and touched everyone.

These some spices they were selling at supermarket and the daily question come out easily: do you like eat spicy? If yes what kind of spice and / or what kind of food do you prefer to eat with spice and which one spice? By myself I like curry :-)

Just an Angle

I could crop it to take the pink house in foreground but I didn't so you can see how perspective plays an important role in this case where the pink house it's just placed as a top in the angle. --- Nice week-end to everyone !

--- Buon fine settimana a tutti !

Galleria Subalpina 1

I showed months ago (here) this Art Nouveau jewel. As many time said, Liberty Style is the other and may be most popular way to call Art Nouveau here. Torino is plenty of "pieces of Liberty art and style" and if you type "liberty" into the "search in this blog" field, on top left, you'll find many photo about Liberty Style in Torino. And more to come :-) --- "Galleria" can't be translated in Gallery. It's a false friend word. In English it is: Arcade and Subalpina literally means "at the foot of Alps". --- Ah someone defines it a post-Liberty building but I'm afraid he's in wrong. Lyberty style started around 1890 until around 1915 and Galleria Subalpina was built in 1874, so...

Uhm... Which one?

Late post today (I'm sorry). I took this shot last Sunday at mall where a young lady wasn't sure which kind of jam to buy. So the question are: Do you like jam? If yes, which one?

Post in ritardo oggi (me ne scuso).

The Valentino's Castle 1

As promised yesterday this is how the Castle looks like viewed from the city and how Madama Cristina di Francia wanted its look. I must say I posted last 21st of April another photo of it (here) but I prefer this one because I took it with wide angle.

The Valentino's Castle

This is the Valentino's Castle taken from the other side of river Po. Its original roof recall French architecture of XVI century thanks to Madama Cristina di Francia (wife of Vittorio Amedeo I) and Queen herself from 1637 to 1663. She loved this castle and changed its court and façade to the city (at the other side, see tomorrow). I took this photo in a brillian windy evening. Further details about the castle HERE.

Today into the original building there's a Carpano Museum and... Eataly. I showed many photos taken at Eataly and talk many time about them but the very first time is last 9th of February. So who shouldn't know what Eataly is he / she has just to click HERE.

Palazzo Reale 1

Followng suggestion of Emily Lin I go to post another image of Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale) in Torino. I remember that Torino was the first capital of Italy and this Palace was the residence -until 1865- of Royal family. I said "another" because last 4th of February I posted the first image of it (see HERE).
