Ferragosto

Today is "Ferragosto" it means not only the middle of the month, not only a christian holiday (Assunzione della Beata Vergine Maria), but overall the top of holiday. The name comes in fact from Latin: "Feriae Augusti" = "Augusti's [Roman Emperor] rest". Cities are most without people... Not all of course. I am that one happily at home !

Jerusalem has a 3-day Italian Festival last week. I pretended to be in the real Italy . . .
