Best photo of the year

Who usually visit this blog for sure noticed that I don't like to be verbose in my captions. Today let me write some more words. I would like in fact to say thank you to Patricia. Patricia spends some days in Torino each year, then she lives in Illinois. You don't know her, she didn't comment once here but she writes to me weekly, detailing reasons because she prefers one photo more than another. She did a great job putting together a selection of photos to put in a calender she realized and sent to me. A precious gift. So I asked her to choose wich one photo could represent better than others Torino. She chose Torino is Blue and I totally agree with her to consider it the best. ---

Anyway, today, everyone in the City Daily Photo community will post his/her best photo of the year, so, please don't miss to visit them: Click HERE to view thumbnails for all participants

  7. Hola Fabrizio! How smart of you to have someone chose for you; it's so much more objective. And, she did well!

Greetings for the New Year, and I wish you much happiness and good health for 2009. Kate of Visual St. Paul and Mazatlan, Mexico.

  8. Fabrizio, I remember this one very well! How very wonderful of your photo friend from Illinois making a calendar using your images and helping you narrow down a choice for this Best OF 2008 theme day! That is precious. I forget what I commented when I first saw this image, but I love the blue and I love the light shining down that rail. The composition just makes this shot for me. Well done!
Wishing you a very happy and healthy 2009,

  12. Only once you enlarge it can you fully appreciate this one, because then the bridge fully contributes to the image. Excellent shot, but my favourite is yesterday's shot (just). Happy New Year Fabrizio!

  18. Great choice and it must have been really tough: all your picture are fabulous. You really have a specific sty and I can almost recognize your pictures without seeing who posted them: the beautiful skies, water like mirror, everything is alway so smooth. You put us all to shame! ;)

A very Happy New Year to you Fabrizio! Bonne année! :)
