Padlocked Love

In 2006 couples started in Rome at Ponte Milvio to padlock their love at lamppost (also because it was seen in a movie). Of course, now, it's popular everywhere and each lamppost by a bridge is a good place to promise each other eternal love.

  1. Interesting. And it seems some of the padlocks have the couples names written on them too. There's nothing like that here in Los Angeles.

  4. I saw this too on Saturday when I went to see the flooded Po. Underneath is a sticker that says 'Agony Way'! Makes a good photo.

  6. I think this is the movie Patrizia of Sagittaria Concordia mentioned a little while ago! I'm not sure I would like such things building up in public places, especially after so many years. Maybe give them one specified place where they all can go, leaving the rest clean.

  7. Do you know in which movie? Probably one that requires several boxes of Kleenex.

  8. What a wonderfully romantic idea. I wonder how many people come back later on with a pair of bolt cutters.
