The "Pomegranate Fountain" (in wrought iron) placed inside Borgo Medievale at the Valentino park (copied from the original that it's inside the Issogne Castle by Aosta). To be honest leaves are from oak tree while fruits are from pomegranate indeed. This because "pomegranate" recall family values and "oak" force values. The both made virtue of Challant family that owned the Issogne Castle.
La Fontana del Melograno (in ferro battuto) è situata all'interno del Borgo Medievale in seno al parco del Valentino ed è copiata dall'originale che si trova all'interno del Castello di Issogne (in Val d'Aosta). Ad essere onesti le foglie son quelle dell'albro della quercia mentre i frutti sono di melograno. Ciò perché il "melograno" richiama a valori di famiglia e la "quercia" a valori di forza. Entrambi, in sintesi, mostravano essere la virtù della famiglia Challant proprietaria originale del Castello di Issogne.

ReplyDeleteI really like the concept of an iron tree. But I would think it can be dangerous because the little edges can be very sharp.
