Valentino

This is the first of some photo I'll go to dedicate to Valentino one of most wide park in Torino. 550thousand square meter, designed by Jean-Pierre Barillet Deschamps (a French landscapist) around 1861 when Torino was Capital of Italy. This photo has been taken from Valentino Park in front of the river Po (the most long of Italy). At the other side the hillside that run all along the river.

  1. Beautiful photo, Fabrizio.
The Po is an amazing river - it's length & the amount of land that it irrigates.
And of course it was in A Farewell To Arms :)

  7. Greetings, Fabrizio Ikol22,

What a pretty river is Po. The person in the boat is having a wonderful day, I think.

You mentioned on my blog how Little Rock got its name. I posted about this earlier this year at click here.

  9. A very beautiful photograph. I like the small boat going upstream.

I came to thank you for visiting my blog, yesterday, and for your comments about Patty's last radiation treatment. She was so pleased that I heard from so many people, including Eric, and I know it made her day extra-special. She was also surprised that some of you also visited her blog and left comments there. So thank you for your visit and comments. Being new to the community, it was a big surprise to us. Thanks again.

  13. Nice - like the others said. I too have a connection with the Po, having fond memories of Monte Viso, once climbed, and often seen on trips to the French and Swiss Alps (source of the Po. I should add). I love the big rivers of Europe, with their history, and traversal of cultures, and still unchanged while we mess everything else up
