This is main entrance of Royal Theatre. It was opened, the first time, in 1740 but unfortunately fire destroyed it in 1936. This new one was opened in 1973 with Vespri Siciliani (by Giuseppe Verdi) directed by Maria Callas and Giuseppe Di Stefano. Originally the theatre was connected to Royal Palace.
