...And the guys. At Torino Luna Park they gently asked to take them a photo. When I said: "ok go there" in a sec the guys hugged their girlfriends et voilà :-) --- They were lovely.

...E i ragazzi. Al Luna Park di Torino quei ragazzi gentilmente mi chiesero di far loro una foto. Quando infine dissi "d'accordo mettetevi là" in un baleno i ragazzi abbracciarono le loro ragazze e... voilà :-) --- Adorabili.

Calcinculo

Each year at Carnival time there's the Luna Park in Torino. The photo shows... Wave Swinger. Ehm it's quite difficult to translate the Italian (popular) name about this fair. The official one is "chains" but calcinculo (three words: calci in culo) it's exactly what the photo is showing :-))) --- Enjoy your Sunday !

Basta! Se non ora, quando ?

This is the last photo about last Sunday women's protest in Torino, in Italy, in many cities in the world. ""It is bitter to admit that in 2011 Italian women have to take to the streets simply to remind us that they have a mind not just a body, while in more civilized countries women campaign for paternity leave, better childcare for working mothers and more progressive adoption laws. But the fact that on Sunday one million demonstrators said "basta!" is a positive and welcome sign to the whole world watching astonished from abroad."" (The Guardian)

Dimissioni: Se non ora, quando ?

Another touching moment about the civil protest last Sunday in Torino. Today the judge ordered the Italian Prime Minister silvio berlusconi to stand trial on charges he paid for sex with a 17-year-old girl and then tried to cover it up. This means that there are sufficient evidences to subject him to an immediate trial, as has been requested by prosecutors. The trial is to begin April 6, and will be heard by a panel of three judges, all of them women.

Un altro toccante momento della manifestazione di Domenica scorsa a Torino. Oggi il Giudice per le Indagini Preliminari (GIP) ha disposto il giudizio immediato per concussione e prostituzione minorile a carico del Presidente del Consiglio.

Back. Today is Valentine's Day and yesterday 100,000 women and people in Torino, almost 1,000,000 in Italy and many in Paris, New York, London, Tokio and Berlin said "basta" (Stop). A civil protest organized by women (and their husbands, friends and boyfriends) against Prime Minister berlusconi because they (we) want a country that respect women. --- Se non ora quando? = If not now, when? Tornato. Oggi è San Valentino e ieri 100.000 tra donne e folla comune in Torino, circa 1.000.000 in Italia e molti altri a Parigi, New York, Londra, Tokio e Berlino hanno detto "Basta"- Una civile protesta organizzata dalle donne (e loro compagni, mariti e amici) contro il Primo Ministro berlusconi perché desiderano, esigono, vogliono vivere in un Paese che le rispetti. --- TDP dedicherà a questa giusta causa, il resto della settimana.

Oggi è un giorno più triste che storico per come a Mirafiori gli operai Fiat si trovano a decidere del loro futuro. Decidere da soli, non certo supportati da concertazioni che in altri Paesi, altri governi, avrebbero raggiunto con la buona volontà di chi lavora per il bene della Nazione tutta. Altri Paesi con altri governi più dediti all'arte del mediare che all'arte dell'arrangiarsi... Che quell'insegna voglia illuminare non solo la Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (che sempre meno ha di ognuno dei termini) ma anche le coscienze di coloro che si trovano ad affrontare il dilemma e le conseguenze di un Sì o di un No.
