SIGIL(LUM) UNIVERS(ITATIS) AUGUSTAE TAURINORUM

Torino, photo of the main hall inside the Campus Einaudi. Two kids, future uni-students, are playing on the logo. They ignore that this logo comes on since 1615 and "Sigil(lum) Univers(itatis) Augustae Taurinorum", from Latin, means in fact: "Seal of the University of Torino".

Campus Einaudi

I am really really proud that Torino is maybe the unique city in Italy that despite crisis and pessimism worked to have a new Campus. Ban Ki-moon and the Fairy Tale Castle

Torino, photo of a Fairy Tale Castle in the Valentino's park. In this Castle there's the Torino School of Architecture but in these last two days it hosted Mr. Ban Ki-moon (Hangul: 반기문 ; Hanja: 潘基文) Secretary General of the United Nations and fifty U.N. Managers. He chose Torino twice in past too for their annual meeting. Good choice Mr. Ban Ki-moon !!!

Torino, foto del Castello del Valentino, un castello da fiaba che purtroppo oggi non è più illuminato come si vede in questa foto… Il Castello è sede della Facoltà di Architettura ma negli scorsi due giorni ha ospitato il Segretario Generale delle Nazioni Unite, Ban Ki-moon. Non è la prima volta ch'egli sceglie Torino per l'annuale riunione con i funzionari dell'ONU. Ottima scelta Segretario Ban Ki-moon !!!

Paralympic Games

Paralympic Games are on this week in London so let me to go back to the Opening Ceremony at the IX Winter Paralympic Games in Torino 2006. The photo shows just a sec after the Olympic Cauldron was lit up… Magic moments !!!!!

I giochi Paralimpici di Londra si stanno svolgendo in questi giorni sicché non posso non tornare con la mente alla Cerimonia di Apertura dei Ventesimi Giochi Invernali Paralimpici di Torino 2006. La foto mostra gli attimi appena successivi all'accensione del Braciere Olimpico… Istanti magici !!!!!
