Hot Hot Hot

Torino, photo taken from Piazza Solferino. Who knows? Maybe to see through the water remarkable buildings like this one, can help to feel less warm. The building is another example (of many in Torino) of Art Nouveau style. It was built at beginning of 1900 and it is ascribed to Pietro Fenoglio.

Il palazzo è un altro esempio (di molti a Torino) di stile Liberty. Venne costruito agli inizi del 1900 ed è attribuito a Pietro Fenoglio.

Eataly in Rome

Torino, photo of first store Eataly in the world. I am very proud that since the 21st of June a piece of Torino lives in Rome too. After New York and Tokyo abroad and some other Eataly in… Italy, the new one in Rome is, at the moment, the widest Eataly ever built: 216,000 sq. ft. (20.000 sqm) divided on four floors !  Many of you followed my several photo and articles on Eataly. Here my first photo and post :-)

Torino, foto del primo negozio Eataly nel mondo. Sono molto orgoglioso che dallo scorso 21 Giugno un pezzo di Torino viva a Roma. Dopo New York e Tokyo all'estero e alcuni altri punti vendita in Italia, il nuovo negozio di Roma è il più grande sinora costruito: 20.000 mq su quattro piani ! Molti di voi avranno seguito le mie numerose fotografie e articoli circa Eataly. Qui la mia prima foto e articolo :-)

Farò di Torino 2012

Today, 24th of June, is the the Patron Saint of Torino: San Giovanni Battista. In this photo that I took on 23rd night (past edition) the traditional farò (bonfire) in Piazza Castello. To get twelve months of luck for the city, the Bull (Toro in italian) on top of the bonfire (if you enlarge maybe you can see it) it must fall down to the mine side (not to the opposite side to the Royal Palace !)... Where did it fall? Tomorrow the mystery will be revealed :-)

Oggi 24 Giugno è il Santo Patrono di Torino: San Giovanni Battista. In questa foto che ho scattato il 23 sera (in una passata edizione): il tradizionale farò (falò) in Piazza Castello. Perché la città possa godere di fortuna e prosperità per 12 mesi, il Toro in cima al farò (allargando l'immagine lo si può vedere) deve cadere verso la piazza (non verso Palazzo Reale !)... Dove è caduto? Domani il mistero verrà svelato :-)
