Porta Nuova

Down there, after Piazza C.L.N., after via Roma, after Piazza Carlo Felice, in the absolutely centre: the main Arch of Porta Nuova in perfect Art Nouveau style. It's the most important railways station in Torino. I'll take it better especially when they will finish to work around to it.

Oltre Piazza C.L.N., via Roma e Piazza Carlo Felice, in perfetto centro l'arco principale di Porta Nuova la più importante stazione ferroviaria, in perfetto stile Liberty, di Torino. La fotograferò meglio specie quando i lavori attorno ad essa saranno terminati.

Piazza Carlo Alberto

In piazza Carlo Alberto there are two restaurants: Sfashion Café and La Smarrita. This one is "La Smarrita" and if you notice, at right, at first floor, there are those two open windows I showed yesterday. To have dinner in Piazza Carlo Alberto is exciting because you are between Museum of Risorgimento (here there's a corner of it) and National Library (back to me). I will take them at night.

In piazza Carlo Alberto ci sono due ristoranti: lo Sfashion Café e La Smarrita. Questo è "La Smarrita" e se si nota, a destra, al primo piano, ci sono le due finestre mostrate ieri. Far cena in Piazza Carlo Alberto è straordinario perché in mezzo tra il Museo del Risorgimento (del quale si nota un angolo) e la Biblioteca Nazionale (alle mie spalle). Li fotograferò di notte.

Immaginando...

As promised two days ago I am going to show you another... Ceiling and... Ambience. Is there an aristocratical party? Are they dancing or having dinner? They are having dinner but just because that one is restaurant and not a private residence. Tomorrow I will show it in details. (To get the best from the photo, please enlarge it).

Come promesso due giorni fa ecco un altro... Soffitto e... Atmosfera. C'è una festa aristocratica? Stanno danzando o cenando? Stanno consumando la loro cena ma giusto perché, quello, è un ristorante e non una residenza privata. Domani lo mostrerò più detttagliatamente. Driving in via Po

This hoto has been taken from the car while was waiting at the traffic light. I am in via Po. Take a sec to enlarge the photo and to see that ceiling at first floor where there's the balcony...

Piazza San Carlo - Perspectives

From via Roma porticos it's possible to zoom on Santa Cristina's Church one of twin baroque churches of Piazza San Carlo. I'll show both better next days.

Dai portici di via Roma è possibile avvicinare con uno zoom la Chiesa di Santa Cristina, une delle due chiese barocche gemelle di Piazza San Carlo. Le mostrerò entrambe meglio i possimi giorni.

Palazzo Carignano - Detail

Ho mostrato lo scorso venerdì il cortile di Palazzo Carignano. Oggi vado a illustrarvi un dettaglio della sua facciata. Al Toret

This kid is drinking at "Toret" (pronounce: /'tu:ret/) . In Torino free water dispenser are called "toret" in torinese dialect that means "little bull". In fact water come out from a sort of little head bull. Bull in italian is Toro and Torino come out from Bull.

Questa bimba stea bevendo al "Toret" (pronuncia: /'tu:ret/ = in altre parole la "u" è la "u" di "uva"). In Torino le fontanelle d'acqua si chiamano "toret" in dialetto torinese. L'acqua infatti sgorga da una specie di teata di toro e "Torino" discende da Toro.

Street Market

I love colours of Street Markets. One of most popular seasonal fruit in Summer is Watermelon, who doesn't like it? :-)

Mi piacciono i colori dei Mercati rionali. Uno dei frutti stagionali di maggior popolarità in estate è l'Anguria, a chi non piace?
