Aperitif at the bell tower

What's better than having an aperitif at sunset in Torino on the top of the bell tower? It's what suggest Somewhere (link) that drive tourists (and not) in the most exciting point of interests in Torino. The photo has been taken over the top of the bell tower about the Sanctuary of Maria Consolatrice more popular in Torino as La Consolata (by Guarino Guarini). I've taken it many times. The photo I love most is this one.

Cosa c'è di meglio che gustare un aperitivo al tramonto a Torino in cima a un campanile? E' quanto propone Somewhere (link) che accompagna turisti (e non) nel luoghi più caratteristici di Torino. La foto è stata scattata sul campanile del Santuario di Maria Consolatrice più nota a Torino come La Consolata (di Guarino Guarini). L'ho fotografata molte volte ma la foto che che amo di più è questa.

Santuario di Maria Consolatrice

I took and showed many photo of this church but from different angles. It's the Sanctuary of Maria Consolatrice more popular in Torino as "La Consolata". It's another building realized by Guarino Guarini as the Torino's Cathedral and the magnificent San Lorenzo's Church.

Ho scattato e mostrato più foto di questa Chiesa ma da diverse angolazioni. E' il Santuario di Maria Consolatrice più nota a Torino come La Consolata. E' un altra realizzazione di Guarino Guarini come il Duomo e la stupenda Chiesa di San Lorenzo.

If you enlarge the photo you can read just over columns: "Augustae taurinorum Consolatrix et Patrona" it's Latin and it means "Consoler and Patroness of Torino" (Torino was Augustae Taurinorum). Subject of sentence is The Madonna and it's relate at the Colera epidemic tragedy in 1835 when citizen were committed to The Virgin Lady (1841).

Con la funzione propiziatrice, in occasione del colera del 1835, in cui la cittadinanza venne affidata alla Vergine 1841 "Augustae Taurinorum Consolatrix et Patrona" (Consolatrice e Patrona della Città di Torino).

This is the Consolata's Church. I showed many photo about this Church (cfr. HERE) but never from this angle.

Consolata other entrance

As title said, this is another view of same church (Consolata) I showed here. There isn't so much to say about it other than I hope you like it.

Come recita il titolo, questa è un'altra vista della stessa chiesa di cui avevo parlato (Consolata). Non c'è molto altro da dire e spero vi piaccia.

Light and Shadow

This is another photo taken at "La Consolata" where can be interesting to notice how on the house in the background there's the church's shadow while the Madonna and the columns are in plein light.

Questa è un'altra fotografia scattata a "La Consolata" dove può essere interessante osservare come sulla casa in secondo piano si veda l'ombra della Chiesa mentre la Madonna e le colonne siano in piena luce.

I think this could be the last photo about Consolata (until I will have chance to visit it and take some photo inside). Penso che questa posa essere per il momento l'ultima fotografia circa la Consolata (almeno sino a quando non ho modo di prendere qualche fotografia all'interno). From the church to a cafe. La Consolata is another work by Guarino Guarini like the Cathedral and the church of San Lorenzo. Honestly speaking just to see Barocco Piemontese and Guarini's work Torino worth to be visited. Last but not the least this church is situated in this small place where was born il Bicerin.... Dalla chiesa verso un bar. La Consolata è un'altra realizzazione di Guarino Guarini come il Duomo e la chiesa di San Lorenzo. Onestamente non foss'altro che per vedere il Barocco Piemontese e le opere del Guarini, Torino merita di essere visitata.
