La rampa del Lingotto

This is the first photo of a series I took at Lingotto. Lingotto was the name of the Fiat's Factory designed by Giacomo Mattè Trucco and built from 1916 to 1922. This photo shows the ramp to go on the rooftop of the building where they tested cars. Please click --> HERE to see an aerial view of the building and better understand what I mean about the roof top test track.

Golden Sunset

I love golden sunset when last rays seem to caress old houses and while a plane is passing over there.

Piazza Vittorio perspective

From this perspective you will probably realize the reason because Piazza Vittorio Veneto (<-- see this selection of photos) is one of the most wide square of Europe and for sure the widest with porticos (in foreground the dome of the church Gran Madre di Dio, then the bridge Vittorio Emanuele I, then the square and via Po).

This is the passage through the court of Palazzo Carignano to Piazza Carlo Alberto (at the other side of the court in the background you can see the monument to Carlo Alberto di Savoia).

Sunset from Palazzo Madama

This is a sunset from Palazzo Madama in a shiny night. In front there's S. Lorenzo (<--look the Guarini's dome) church and on the right the Royal Palace

I realized this photo by la Bottega di Guido Gobino (<--- the site is in English too and deserves a trip). I'll do more photos in future but at this time (Easter time) may be nice to take a look on how his chocolate production looks like.

Torino tube driven by kids?

Torino tube is it driven by kids? No eheh the Torino underground simply doesn't have any driver. It's fully automatic and it's the first in Italy entirely developed in this way like the first in Italy able to cover mobile phone's signal.

Those were the days 1

And the winner is... Nazzareno (and I think "anonimous" too). Sorry Chuck but Fiat 600 (born in 1955) was a bit more longer and larger compared to Fiat 500 (that was born later, in 1957). Gizelle, you're absolutely in right the New Fiat 500 is simply... Cute !!!

Graziosa !!!

Those were the days

Yes, those were the days when we were all a bit more poor. So who is able to guess what car is it (brand, model, engine, ...)? Tomorrow the reply :-)

(marca, modello, motore, ...)? Domani la risposta :-)

Forever, will be forever?

Torino: Piazza Castello, that they are going to promise each other eternal love or not, they're so cute...

Last September I showed that church (here on the right) taken with another perspective (cick HERE). I find this scene quiet and peaceful. Still Winter but Spring is in the air :-)

Marilyn in Prison?

No for sure. She's and ever been a free spirit. I took this photo out of from a closed (because late in the night) gallery.

No di sicuro.

Until Sunday 16th on March 250 photos of Giovanni Agnelli (President and principal shareholder of Fiat Group) at Mole Antonelliana to remember his life. Gianni Agnelli died in 2003 and is still considered the last "King of Italy". I like to add: the only.

16 Crossing

The two tramway were just crossing. In Torino there are mostly three kind of tramway (that we simply and easily call tram): these taken in photo with old colour out of order. Same kind but with last colours approved (I will post a photo next days) and a new one very modern. Of course, beside tram there are buses and metro / underground. --- Torino and Florence are at the moment the only two cities in Italy mapped by Google Transit.

This is the perspective of via Villa della Regina viewed fom Piazza Vittorio at sunset. It starts at foot of hill and goes up straight on slope.

Three kind of salt (red from Hawaii, smoked from Denmark and white from Camargue) to mix with tuna lightly cooked over salade Julienne and one lobster over orange. One of many exciting dishes by Ugo Fontanone of "La Taverna di Fra Fiusch"

Roast Chestnuts

Winter is going and with it roast chestnuts seller. It's lovely just to stay around for smelling that's so nice scent.

The fog, the old and the kid

Did CDP community change rules to apply at Monthly Theme so I am actually out? That's ok, I go on with my misty trilogy I love.
