Would you buy a used car from this man?

Like Kate, I had never heard of him. But I googled and understand he is a local and Italian personality (trading was suspended).
See article here.
What a tragic news: 51 is way too young and the old driver must be devastated. Sad.

Oops! My comment seems callous but when I entered the first commentary, I hadn't realized that he had died since I had not connected the birth and death dates. So sorry!

I hadn't heard of him either, but the designs of his company are something beautiful.

If anybody wants to take a look at the timeline, just to see which models were designed and produced, take a look here:

Pininfarina is one of the car designers that made italian style famous worldwide.

Thank you Eliane and Rob.

Kate and everybody. I'm so sorry. It's my fault to overestimate his popularity abroad. Most of people know (and like) Italian cars.

Italian cars may have great engine but they aren't designed by who produce them. So Ferrari is designed by Pininfarina; Alfa Romeso has been mostly designed by Bertone; Fiat, some Audi and some Volkswagen has been designed by Giugiaro - Italdesign.

(scroll down the Wikipedia link to see what kind of cars those disegners produced)

Anyway Pininfarina is and was the best. You can also read HERE what NYT wrote yesterday.

In the end, who of you don't remember "The Graduate" (D.Hoffmann) when he rides his Alfa Romeo Duetto? That car was designed by Pininfarina as quite all Ferrari. Lately Pininfarina also designed the Torino2006 Olympic Torch and the Torino Olympic Cauldron.

Oh Fabrizio, I was sorry to read about this genius' death. I read about it this morning actually. So young and killed on a scooter. He and his family before him were astounding designers. Very sad.

Too bad about this master car designer. Funny you should mention "The Graduate"...I just watched it the other night and yes, the Alfa always gets my attention. That and Katherine Ross. Ciao!
