Piazza San Carlo - Perspectives

This is Piazza S. Carlo in all its perfect geometry and design. In the background the twin Churches. On the left: S. Cristina (see Wednesday), on the right: San Carlo. Details next days. If you have chance, enlarge the image.

Your own words summed this image up perfectly, and your capture was equally as stunning.

Perfect geometry is right. When I enlarged it I gasped! Just amazing. Your photographing of these extraordinary buildings is superb. I look forward to each and every one.

What a superb photo! And the geometry and symmetry is such a splendid contrast to the curves of the Palazzo Carignano that you posted two days ago. Outstanding.

I have traveled to Italy six times, including leading a group of 16 friends and family there two summers ago. I am anxious to return and to add Torino to the itinerary.

Oh dear, I can see I will have to come back to Turin! Such beauty, Fabrizio. What a photograph.

Thankyou so much for your comments yesterday - great to know those villages/towns along the Ligurian coast that has those marvellous colours. Yes I will go! And thankyou for all your other kind comments.

Yes I enlarged; so clear and sharp! I wonder if there are any architectural tricks as with the "twin" chapels in Piazza del Popolo in Rome, which aren't really twins (different sized sites, one has a round dome, and one oval)

This is beautiful Fabrizio. The paving and cobblestones in the piazza are a wonderful complement to the buildings, churches and statue.
