Palazzo Carignano - Detail

I showed last Friday the court of Palazzo Carignano. Today I go to show you a detail of its façade. Please take a min to enlarge the photo and to watch carefully the details of motifs in relief by bricks. Palazzo Carignano designed by Guarino Guarini (In the second half of the XVII century) is the most high example of Piedmontese Baroque. More to come...

Presto altri dettagli...

Fabrizio,
Your photographs are so crisp and full of detail. I am in awe. This photograph, when enlarged, just took my breath away. To add to the drama, the curve of the building is just amazing. I might just have to come back at another time for another look.

The view is dizzying and fabulous!

It is beautiful but when I enlarged the photo, I felt quite dizzy looking up. Sort of reverse vertigo if there is such a thing. The motifs are superb.

It is such a beautiful image, and yes it does give one vertigo, but it worth it.

Jilly is right. I love so much this building but it worth it. I hope to be able to show you it's most intersting details, in the meantime: thank you very much about your comments.

Fabrizio, it must be really hot in Torino too: this building is melting!
More seriously, it is absolutely gorgeous. And the angle you choose to showcast its curves is brilliant.

It's like it's in motion and of course extremely solid at the same time.

Beautiful camera-work.
