Quadrilatero 2

Of course a part that place (see yesterday and Sunday), all narrow streets around are plenty of restaurants, cafè and nightclub. This is what it's called "historic main streets". The city looks like a town.

Naturalmente a parte la piazza vista precedentemente, tutte le strette strade d'intorno offrono una moltitudine di ristoranti, bar e locali notturni. Questo è ciò che viene denominato "Centro storico". La città sembra un piccolo paese.

European street life is so different from what we experience in the US. The first French trading post in St. Louis was established in 1673 but there was not really a town until 1763. Torino, I assume, is more than two millenia old. You have an urban heart that people cherish. Our city core has been bled by highway development and suburban sprawl. Your photo is a beautiful illustration of the charm that endures in Italy.

The classic Italian summer scene. The perfect way to spend an evening. How late do they serve food until in the Quadrilatero?

@ strangetastes, you're in right because Torino was founded by Romans in 27 b.c. You are confirming my thought and mine words when I try to give a reason to people that don't understand why simple old towns are so appreciated by tourits especially if Americans. Thank you very very much.

@ simon kutcher, I don't know really but I presume they go on until 1am or 2am or until there's someone who ask to have dinner or cafè

@ calusarus, thank you :-) Me too I like it a bit more. Problem with previous was the kind of public light. It's yellow (steam of sodium) and it colours everything of heavy yellow. I work on white balance but... Too much is too much

This is heaven, Fabrizio. Looks the perfect place to have dinner on a summer's night.

I noted your comments on Monte Carlo the other day and you and I prefer 'old' places, places with a heart and soul and good coffee!

I left a comment for you on A Prince's Dream on Monte Carlo DP.

Thanks for sharing a little slice of life there. One day, I hope to visit as well.

I would love to sit there with a group of friends and enjoy the food.

I guess the weather there is nice for outdoor seating like this.

I like this one the best, too.
I love the composition - the way the awnings on the left "touch" the roof edges on the other side of the street.
And your color temperature is really nice in this shot.

The atmosphere is appealing. However, from a photographic standpoint, what I like most are the cobblestone streets.
