I have to admit, the Italians love and respect their old buildings more so than anyone else, except maybe the French. I wish the US government would show that kind of honor to our old buildings too, especially in NYC.

Wonderful! Looks great, and you must enjoy summers immensely. We were just at a film festival in Locarno in Ticino, the Italian-speaking canton of Switzerland, and we tried to attend a movie in the Piazza Grande, except it started to rain pretty hard and we gave up -- don't know how many stayed until the end of the film. :-)
