Tagliata della Granda

Time ago I talked (here) the first time about Granda's meat and how this name was born. By the way Granda is overall an Association of farmers in Piedmont born with the purpose to defend (and to promote) quality. So they are very careful on what veals go to eat and how they grow. Who has chance to come in Torino may taste it by Eataly (where I took the photo). Anyway from the site of Granda's Association (unfortunately not in English) you'll find those butchers that sell it. Buon Appetito !!!

Buon Appetito !!!

This looks good. This is how I like good meat to be served - simply. Grilled tomato is perfect, and a nice wine. I like meat cooked rare if it's good quality as this obviously is, but I'm reminded of a comment from a friend of mine who was not quite so liberated. "Where I come from a good vet could get that back on it's feet"

Looks good, F. EXACTLY right for a lunch. 100 grms meat plus tomato and rocket. A taste explosion....and you can work like a demon afterwards, looking forward to a great dinner and great company later in the evening. Is that a Barolo or a Barbera in the glass?

Food is the one I'll definitely experience when I visit Italy, besides travelling through the country from south to north by Vespa.
